Wizz Air Launches New Direct Flights from Poland to London and Sofia

Wizz Air has unveiled two new flight routes connecting Poland with major European cities, strengthening travel opportunities for Polish passengers. The airline will launch a daily service from Warsaw Chopin Airport to London Gatwick on August 2, 2025, and a thrice-weekly connection from Krakow to Sofia beginning June 16, 2025. These new routes aim to enhance accessibility and provide cost-effective travel alternatives amid increasing demand for direct flights within Europe.
These expansions highlight Wizz Air’s ongoing strategy to establish a broader presence in the region while catering to both business and leisure travelers. With fares starting at 179 PLN for Warsaw-London and 109 PLN for Krakow-Sofia, the airline continues its commitment to affordable air travel. The direct links reduce travel time and increase flexibility, making international trips more convenient for Polish passengers.
This appendage gives those flying to London instant transit into one of Europe's most exciting cities. Whether you enjoy Buckingham Palace as a cultural monument or the British Museum from bumper business districts and entertainment districts, travel options are not limited. Also, London is a big hub for transit with connections to all corners of the globe meaning it is good for connecting to international flights as well.
Meanwhile, the Krakow-Sofia route introduces new prospects for exploring the Balkans. Sofia, known for its rich history, picturesque landscapes, and affordability, is an emerging travel hotspot. Visitors can explore historic sites such as Alexander Nevsky Cathedral or Vitosha Mountain while experiencing Bulgaria’s distinctive culinary scene. This direct connection simplifies access to the region, opening doors to unique cultural and outdoor experiences.
The launch of these routes is a considerable step forward for Polish travellers, increasing the tourism and business engagement options available. Wizz Air is thus strengthening Poland's connection to important European hubs and at the same time promoting travel outreach at affordable price points. These developments are a sign of the new efficient and cheap travel in Europe.
