World-class lounge area was opened at Guwahati railway station
It often happens that trains are delayed. That's why it's important to have a comfortable place to wait for your transportation at the station. One Indian city now has a world-class lounge area where everyone waiting for a flight can stay.
It is located on the ground floor of the Guwahati railway station in Assam. It can accommodate 92 people. This was reported by North East Now.
The Guwahati railway station, one of the most important in the northeastern region of India, is also one of the most profitable under the jurisdiction of NF Railway (Northeastern Frontier Railway).
NF Railway CEO Chetan Kumar Srivastava inaugurated the new passenger amenity in the presence of other senior officials and railway employees.The Executive Lounge provides a comfortable environment for travelers, including business class passengers.
It has air conditioning, sofas, an LED TV with a music system, a travel desk, free Wi-Fi, a mini-cloakroom, and kiosks where you can buy snacks and drinks.
For an additional fee, you can rent a room and take a bath. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are also available in the lounge.
Passengers can use the airport-like services for a minimum fee of 30 rupees (US$0.36) per hour and an additional 20 rupees (US$0.24) for each additional hour.
