Zurich Airport to Open Transit-Friendly Food Hall in 2027

Zurich Airport is preparing to introduce a significant addition to its landside facilities with the opening of TREATS, a large-scale food hall expected to launch in autumn 2027. The development is part of a broader renovation of the airport’s public areas and shopping district. TREATS is planned as a central hub to provide better airport zone connectivity near the main bus terminal, between parking garages P1 and P2.
The food hall will span 2,000 square metres across two floors and include over 1,000 seats. Plans feature a mix of food stalls, trucks, bars, a café, and even an event stage, offering both indoor and outdoor seating options. The venue will be operated by the food collective ag, part of the Pointbreak Group, and will showcase a mix of regional flavours and global cuisines in a space designed for social interaction and comfort.
TREATS is positioned to change what travelers do before or between flights. Rather than single standalone restaurants in the terminal, passengers will find a central hub-of-all-trade food destination for efficiency and leisure. The new layout offers easier movement through the airport, with improved access from various entry points and fewer congestion points in high-traffic areas.
Beyond dining, TREATS is expected to create a more welcoming and efficient atmosphere. Its central location close to rail or bus links makes it the perfect place to meet travellers and its open plan provides a quiet space for families, business passengers and passengers with long layovers. The visibility and footfall of the hall will also give the smaller food vendors visibility to a large international audience.
As the demand for air travel surges, Zurich Airport puts more in passenger comfort and convenience with new investments at its disposal. TREATS is not just a place to eat—it’s a thoughtfully designed experience that supports the needs of today’s travellers. Whether passing through or staying longer, passengers can look forward to a more relaxed, modern environment tailored to global travel lifestyles.
