2RN Shuttle Bus Enhances Summer Access to RSPB Arne
Travelers can now enjoy easier access to RSPB Arne, thanks to the extended operation of the 2RN shuttle bus from Wareham train station. Running on Wednesdays and Sundays from June to the end of August, this service provides a convenient option for summer visitors.
Now in its third consecutive year, the 2RN shuttle bus service is backed by the Purbeck Community Rail Partnership, RSPB, Wareham Town Council, and operated by Dorset Community Transport. This collaboration ensures the service remains reliable and beneficial for all who wish to visit the nature reserve.
Tim Christian, the manager at Dorset Community Transport, emphasized the benefits for travelers, especially those without cars. He noted that the shuttle bus makes it simpler for people to visit RSPB Arne, connecting them seamlessly from rail to nature. This service is particularly valuable for those who rely on public transport or prefer to leave their cars at home.
With the 2RN service, visitors can leave their cars at home and still explore the beautiful nature trails, observe diverse wildlife, and enjoy stunning views at RSPB Arne. This initiative aims to make the reserve more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Whether it's a family day out or a solo adventure, the shuttle bus ensures a hassle-free journey.
Travelers can find the full timetable for the 2RN shuttle bus on the ECT charity website, ensuring they can plan their visits with ease. This makes it easier for everyone to take advantage of this extended service and enjoy the natural beauty of RSPB Arne throughout the summer.
