Almost all passengers are used to the fact that airplanes are filled with people during a flight. However, some airlines follow the practice of free seating, where travelers can sit in any available seat, just like on a bus.

Sometimes on such flights there are more empty seats than passengers, so you can fly without a neighbor. According to the Mirror, some inventive travelers decided to take the situation into their own hands and discourage people from sitting next to them.

TikToker Olivia Lynn and her boyfriend wanted to enjoy three seats instead of two to feel more comfortable and came up with a trick.

The passenger by the window rolled up his blanket to resemble a cocoon with a baby, and then started cradling the bundle. His girlfriend sat down near the aisle, so the passengers had no choice but to sit between the couple.

Strangely enough, no one wanted to sit in the middle next to a couple with a tiny "baby," so the lovers were able to sit comfortably in their seats.

This life hack can theoretically work if the airline allows free seating and there are more seats on the plane than passengers. Otherwise, someone will definitely take the empty seat.
