A pony that rode a tram in Germany became a network star: video
A video from Leipzig, where a Shetland pony named Cash rode a tram, is being discussed on social media in Germany.
His 20-year-old owner, Jenny, said that the animal was tired of walking in the heat, so she decided to travel the rest of the route by public transport. The girl bought a special ticket for animals for 2 euros, which is usually paid for by dogs, Bild writes.
During the approximate half-hour tram ride, Cash turned into a real star, being photographed, petted and admired.
"I was very happy. So were the passengers. Everyone got off with a smile," said Katja Novak, a tram driver in Leipzig. I didn't care about delays. The main thing was that the pony was fine."
The LVB transport company called for no more large animals to be transported by public transport, as this could lead to injury. This is also what social media users think. Others point out that a pony weighs up to 150 kg like some people and cannot be dangerous.
