A helicopter flight provides tourists with a unique opportunity to enjoy breathtaking views that are not available from other types of transportation. During the tour, you can see majestic landscapes and sights.

However, safety in the air plays a key role. A video posted on TikTok shows how a tourist's behavior almost cost the lives of the entire group, joe.co.uk reports.

The footage shows the group flying over the plain. As the helicopter was flying and tilting above the ground, one of the tourists grabbed the lever above the control panel.

At this point, the pilot abruptly pulls her hand away and shouts that it could kill everyone.

"No! It will kill us!" he says.

The person reportedly trying to grab the lever was 27-year-old Cherlin Bijlsma from the Netherlands, who was travelling on the West coast of the United States. She joined a tourist group travelling from San Francisco to Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

According to the author of the video, the woman did not understand English well and smiled awkwardly at the pilot in response to a comment.

The incident occurred during a helicopter tour towards the Grand Canyon.

"The woman who grabbed the lever was there, I think, with her daughter. It looked like she didn't understand English very well," the video was commented on.

Later, when the tourists reached the Grand Canyon, the rest of the tourists thanked the pilot for his good reaction.

"When we landed, my friend, who was also in my travel group, jokingly thanked the pilot for saving our lives," Cherlin said in the comments.

According to her, the pilot shook his head and laughed, saying, "Oh my God, oh my God."
