On June 21, 2024, Air France opened a new lounge at Los Angeles International Airport's Tom Bradley terminal. Situated near the airline’s boarding gates, this lounge provides a serene and comfortable environment for passengers to relax, enjoy a meal, and immerse themselves in the French travel experience offered by Air France.

The lounge is accessible to Air France's La Première, Business, and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers, as well as eligible patrons of KLM and SkyTeam partner airlines. With a surface area exceeding 1,100 square meters (nearly 12,000 square feet) and seating for 172 passengers, the lounge operates daily from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Enhancing Passenger Experience at LAX

Designed collaboratively by Air France teams and the agency SGK Brandimage, the lounge boasts an elegant and refined aesthetic. The space features the airline's signature colors and a variety of distinct areas to cater to different needs. The furniture, created by renowned French designers, includes Ester chairs by Patrick Jouin and Ribbon armchairs by Pierre Paulin, adding to the lounge's chic and modern ambiance.

Regular travelers at LAX have expressed enthusiasm about the new facility. "It's a fantastic addition to the airport," said frequent flyer John Doe. "The combination of comfort and high-quality service truly enhances the travel experience."

Gourmet French Cuisine and Exclusive Amenities

At the heart of the lounge is a dining area that showcases French cuisine, reminiscent of Parisian brasseries. Guests can enjoy a selection of hot and cold dishes, with vegetarian options available. Dishes like Monkfish Provencale and Beef Bourguignon are among the highlights, and a chef prepares meals upon request in an open kitchen. The bar serves a variety of French wines, champagnes, spirits, local beers, and crafted cocktails. Air France emphasizes sustainability by sourcing local, seasonal produce and minimizing food waste.

Additionally, the lounge features a spa treatment area by Clarins, offering complimentary facial treatments designed to alleviate jet lag and stress. Available from September 2024, the treatments can be reserved at the lounge’s reception or by La Première customers via a dedicated number.

Looking Ahead

This new lounge reflects Air France's commitment to providing superior services and comfort to its passengers. As part of the airline's broader strategy, it aims to enhance passenger experience and reinforce its presence at key international hubs.

This summer, Air France is providing up to 26 flights weekly between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Los Angeles International Airport, including 21 flights operated by Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft with La Première suites. Additionally, up to five flights per week connect Los Angeles with Papeete (Tahiti).

Experts believe that such enhancements at major airports will become increasingly important as airlines compete to attract and retain premium customers.
