Azerbaijan's national airline, AZAL, has announced special airfare rates for flights to Bucharest, Romania, and Sofia, Bulgaria, creating a budget-friendly opportunity for travelers to explore these European capitals.

For the Baku-Bucharest-Baku and Baku-Sofia-Baku routes, one-way tickets are priced at 169 euros, and round-trip tickets cost 300 euros. Meanwhile, for the Bucharest-Baku-Bucharest route, one-way tickets are available for 155 euros, with the same round-trip cost of 300 euros. Those flying the Sofia-Baku-Sofia route can also purchase one-way tickets for 153 euros, or round-trip tickets for 300 euros.

These discounted tickets come with a hand luggage allowance of up to 10 kg. However, the special rates do not apply during peak demand periods, so travelers should plan accordingly.

Starting on June 3, AZAL will operate flights to Bucharest twice a week, departing on Mondays and Thursdays. Flights to Sofia are scheduled to start on June 7, with departures twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. This new schedule offers travelers more options and flexibility.

With these discounted rates, travel to Bucharest and Sofia becomes more accessible for a wider range of people. The announcement is expected to encourage travel between Azerbaijan and these Eastern European capitals, boosting tourism and fostering greater cultural exchange.
