In 2024, Banyan Group plans to open 19 new hotels around the world, particularly in key tourist destinations such as Japan, Cambodia and Mexico. These new properties will not only expand the group's hotel portfolio, but will also introduce innovative concepts and unforgettable experiences for travelers.

The new properties include 10 hotels in China, two hotels each in Thailand, Vietnam and South Korea, as well as the group's first hotel in Cambodia. In addition, the first Banyan Tree property in Japan and the first Banyan Tree Veya in Mexico will open. This information was published by travelandleisure.com.

With more than 70 hotels and resorts, 60 resorts and galleries, and 14 residences worldwide in 22 countries, the company includes brands such as Angsana, Cassia, Folio, Homm, Garrya, Dhawa, Laguna, Banyan Tree Escape, Banyan Tree Veya, and of course the flagship Banyan Tree.

said Eddie Xie, President and CEO of Banyan Group.

"Banyan Tree Veya Valle de Guadalupe, scheduled to open this spring, is particularly significant. The 16-acre property will feature 30 villas, each with its own plunge pool, as well as five dining options, the Veya Spa, a botanical garden, and a winery with its own wine collection.

Another major attraction is Banyan Tree Higashiyama Kyoto, which will add a flagship brand to the Banyan Group's other properties already in Japan, including Garrya Nijo Kyoto Castle and Dhawa Yura Kyoto, which opened in 2022, as well as Folio Sakura Shinsaibashi Osaka. Scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2024, the 52-room resort will be located on a hill above the city, near an ancient bamboo grove, and will be the first and only hotel in the city with a Noh stage, creating a new take on ryokan.

Also worth noting is Angsana Siem Reap, scheduled to open in late 2024, with 158 rooms, suites and villas, all part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor in Cambodia.

Other highlights of the year include two properties in Vietnam - Angsana Quan Lan in Halong Bay and Garrya Mu Chang Chai in Yen Bai, as well as a pair of Sokcho properties in South Korea - Cassia and Homme.

In addition to its expansion, Banyan Group is also doubling down on its sustainability. While many actions are behind the scenes, such as water, waste and energy use to reduce carbon emissions, the company is also "cultivating advocacy" through its Brand for Good program, which it launched last year.

"Given our emphasis on integrated design with nature, we had many guests enjoying the biodiversity of the wildlife restoration initiative, which aims to grow 100 pocket forests in our portfolio over the next few years," says Ho Ren Yong, Banyan Group's senior vice president of brands and commercial operations.

The Banyan Group is also accelerating its digitalization with a well-being companion called Beyond, which will be woven into various parts of guests' journeys, both during their stay and at home.

The company is also creating a new loyalty program called withBanyan, which will recognize guests in a more meaningful and experiential way.

All in all, the brand's growth will be greater than ever next year as they operate with the belief in the transformative power of travel to create positive change.
