Further east in Europe, Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, is worth visiting, with inexpensive pubs nestled among Soviet monuments. Here, beer has an average price of just £1.13.
The city of Szczecin in Poland offers the aforementioned drink for £1.18, and in Presov, Slovakia, it's available for £1.22.
