When traveling abroad, most people choose well-known European destinations such as France, Italy, and Greece or sunny regions like Bali, the Dominican Republic, or the Canary Islands. However, we recommend paying attention to another resort city - Benidorm, located in Spain.

Sophie Foster, a reporter for the Daily Star, notes that Benidorm has recently gained popularity among the British. Why is it so popular? Let's find out in more detail.

Benidorm - sunny during the day and vibrant at night

The sunny city is renowned for its beautiful beaches (there is even a nudist beach) and lively nightlife. According to visitors, you can find a pint for less than one pound and enjoy free drinks all night in the clubs.

Sophie mentions that after the pandemic, Benidorm has regained popularity, attracting more tourists due to the city's accessibility.

"You can actually find a Benidorm vacation with flights and hotels for as little as £144 per person on LiveHolidays. According to Skyscanner, those who prefer to book their own itinerary can get return flights from £29."

On Booking.com - for June 2024 - you can rent an apartment for as little as £53 per night. Staying in a dormitory-style room will be even cheaper - only £21 per night (just be careful not to confuse it with a hostel).

Parties and shows are the resort's specialty

But it's not just the affordability of Benidorm that constantly attracts the British. There are dozens of bars, clubs, and shows that offer something very different from what is found in Britain and around the world.

Benidorm is a city of dance. It was the home of the icon Sticky Vicky, a dancer who became famous for shooting ping-pong balls, machetes, and razor blades from her vagina for 35 years. The illusionist died at the age of 80, but her daughter Maria continues her mother's work.

From December 23, she will perform at Benidorm Palladium and Rockerfellas Cabaret. So, if you want to see a forbidden spicy show, we recommend you to visit it. You have never seen anything like it!

However, there are also other types of erotic shows. There is a stripper show in the Benidorm bar, where they beat, undress, and tie up men!

The beauty of nature

In addition to parties, shows, and nightclubs, the city is rich in natural wonders. One of them is the Algar Waterfalls; they have a beautiful natural pool and water gushing from the rocks.

The second place worthy of attention is Guadalest, a mountain town among the ruins of a castle and a church on the edge of a cliff. The views from the cliff are magnificent: three high mountains and a blue river. Here you can take great photos for Instagram or paint beautiful landscapes.
