In February, the Spring Festival, the most important traditional Chinese holiday and the Lunar New Year, will begin. The Spring Festival is held every year and is considered a traditional cultural holiday for the Chinese.

On the eve of the Spring Festival, there is a rush of demand for travel to the Spring Festival in China. It is expected that this year a record number of trips will be recorded, according to an article by ECNS.

According to the country's Ministry of Transportation, passenger travel is likely to reach record levels during the rush in China. Chinese railways are expected to handle 480 million passenger trips during this tourist season. This is an average of 12 million trips per day, an increase of 37.9 percent over the previous year.

In particular, Beijing Capital Daxing International Airport is marking the beginning of a travel peak as the rush for the Spring Festival began on Friday. The airport will receive 5.5 million passenger trips. China's airlines have added more overseas routes to cope with the surge in outbound travel.

In addition, the Chinese authorities have made great efforts to meet travel needs, improve the quality of passenger service and provide better working and living conditions for employees, the authors add.
