Delta Air Lines is elevating its Delta One premium cabin experience with a touch of Italian luxury, thanks to a new partnership with renowned fashion house Missoni. This collaboration introduces Missoni-designed amenity kits and bespoke elements for the new Delta One Lounge at New York's JFK Airport.

Delta, a full-service airline, continues to prioritize premium passenger experiences. Unlike low-cost carriers that maximize seating, Delta invests in enhancing amenities for higher yields per passenger. This latest initiative aligns with Delta's commitment to offering a truly premium and elevated travel experience.

The new Delta One amenity kits feature Missoni's iconic textured zigzag patterns, both inside and out, celebrating Delta's nearly century-long flying heritage. Delta's Vice President of Brand Experience Design, Mauricio Parise, emphasized that the collaboration with Missoni perfectly aligns with the airline's vision of luxury and elegance. The Missoni-designed elements aim to differentiate the Delta One experience, both on the ground and in the air.

Inside these stylish amenity kits, passengers will find Grown Alchemist skincare products, a bamboo toothbrush, toothpaste, an eye mask, ear plugs, socks, and a pen. Starting in October 2024, the kits will also include Marvis toothpaste. Additionally, Delta One passengers will enjoy the exclusive Delta One Bedding collection, featuring a cozy duvet, a large sleeping pillow, and slippers, ensuring a comfortable journey.

The Missoni amenity kits will debut in mid-July on all Delta flights to and from Italy and Paris, with a global rollout in September. Meanwhile, passengers in the Delta Premium Select cabin will continue to receive Someone Somewhere amenity kits.

To cater to the increasing demand for premium travel experiences, Delta is also expanding the Delta One cabin on its Airbus A350-900 fleet. The modified A350-900, expected to enter service in Summer 2024, will feature an additional eight lie-flat suites. Once the modifications are complete, the aircraft will accommodate 275 passengers, including 40 Delta One Suites, 40 seats in Delta Premium Select, 36 extra-legroom seats in Delta Comfort+, and 159 Main Cabin seats. This configuration highlights Delta's focus on providing a substantial number of premium seats, making up 42% of the total capacity.
