Delta Airlines is set to enhance the SXSW (South by Southwest) festival experience for its SkyMiles Members, promising a series of exclusive, can't-miss opportunities. As the official airline partner of the festival in Austin, Texas, next month, Delta is extending the SkyMiles benefits beyond the skies, directly into the heart of one of the most anticipated annual events.

Delta's initiative aims to deepen the connection with SkyMiles Members by offering them an array of premium rewards and experiences throughout the festival. "Our presence at SXSW showcases the extension of our SkyMiles program benefits directly to our members," said Alicia Tillman, Delta’s Chief Marketing Officer. The airline is focused on delivering value that connects members to unique moments, from special-access opportunities to engaging community events and exclusive epicurean adventures.

For those holding the coveted SkyMiles membership and planning to attend SXSW, here's a glimpse into what awaits you in Austin:

  1. Warm Welcome at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport: Starting Thursday, March 7, through Wednesday, March 13, members arriving in Austin will be greeted with a special Delta welcome at gate 10, along with a curated guide to SXSW, packed with surprises.
  2. Effortless Badge Pick-up: Exclusive badge pick-up lanes at the Austin Convention Center will ensure SkyMiles members can dive into the festival activities without delay, supported by Delta staff ready to assist.
  3. Downtown Rides in Style: From March 8 to 11, Delta-branded electric hoppers will offer free rides around downtown Austin, making travel between festival venues convenient and eco-friendly.
  4. Inspiring Mainstage Moments: Delta CEO Ed Bastian, alongside notable figures like Chef José Andrés, will engage in a session focused on community building. This is part of Delta's broader participation, with several leaders appearing across the festival.
  5. The Delta Lounge Oasis: Open daily from March 8 to 12, the lounge offers a space for members to relax, recharge, and enjoy fast, free Wi-Fi, locally curated content, and exclusive Starbucks beverages.
  6. Medallion Member Speakeasy: An exclusive speakeasy for Medallion members will feature live music, unique experiences such as an opening night with Issa Rae, a BBQ tasting with Aaron Franklin, and a wine experience with NBA star Carmelo Anthony.
  7. Entrepreneur & Artist Market: On March 10, Delta partners with Waterloo Greenway and Future Front Texas for a market at Waterloo Park, showcasing local talent and a custom mural, enhancing community engagement.
  8. VIP Experience at Billboard Presents THE STAGE: SkyMiles members with tickets or SXSW badges will enjoy expedited entry, preferred viewing areas, and a member lounge with refreshments and limited-edition apparel from March 14 to 16.

Delta's SkyMiles Members are in for an unparalleled SXSW experience, blending the worlds of travel, music, technology, and community. This initiative not only reaffirms Delta's commitment to reimagining the SkyMiles program but also ensures its members receive extraordinary value and memorable moments, making their SXSW journey unforgettable.
