Dog Cheems Baltze, the hero of numerous memes, dies in Hong Kong: he had more than 800,000 followers

The dog Cheems Baltze, who became famous on the Internet thanks to numerous memes, died in Hong Kong at the age of 12.
This was announced in a post on Cheems' Instagram page. "He fell asleep on Friday morning during surgery. At first, we wanted to do chemotherapy or arrange other possible treatment after the surgery, but now it's too late," the post reads.
More than 800,000 people followed the dog's page on the social network, which was run by his owner Katie.
The dog, a Siba Inu, lived in Hong Kong, and since 2015 his owner has been posting numerous memes featuring the dog on the Internet, which eventually gained considerable popularity.
