Traveling with pets can be challenging, but Ireland is becoming more welcoming to furry friends. Several locations across the country now offer pet-friendly accommodations, ensuring your dog is treated like family.

Ardilaun Hotel and Leisure Club, Galway

Galway is quickly gaining a reputation as a pet-friendly destination. The Ardilaun Hotel and Leisure Club welcomes dogs in its Garden Rooms, which feature patios for easy garden access. While pets can't enter the restaurants and bar, there's a covered outdoor area where you can dine with your dog.

The Twelve, Barna

Located just 20 minutes from Galway's center, The Twelve offers a warm welcome to pets with a bag of treats, poo bags, and a soft toy. The hotel has three pet suites equipped with a dog bed, walking map, and special menu. Dogs are allowed throughout the hotel at no extra cost, and you can leave them in your room while you explore.

The Ballinadee Bus, Cork

For a unique experience, the Ballinadee Bus in Cork lets you stay in a converted double-decker bus. This homestay includes amenities like WiFi, air conditioning, and a hot tub. The site also features a rescue farm with donkeys, alpacas, cows, and pigs. Guests can enjoy drinks at the outdoor bar or coffee shop while taking in the scenic views.

Dunmore House Hotel, Clonakilty

Head to the Dunmore House Hotel in Clonakilty, Cork, where up to three pets can stay for free. Dogs are welcome in all areas except the Michelin-recommended Adrift restaurant. The hotel offers five pet-friendly ground-floor rooms with balconies overlooking the Wild Atlantic Way, plus dog treats throughout the premises.

Ocean Sands Hotel, Sligo

This beachside hotel in Sligo offers eight dog-friendly rooms and self-catering apartments with patios. Dogs are welcome in the lobby at designated pet tables, and rooms are located near the main door for easy nighttime access. Up to two dogs per room are allowed, and guests must bring their own leads and dog beds.

Glasson Lakehouse, Westmeath

The Glasson Lakehouse in Co Westmeath provides scenic views and plenty of space for pets to explore. Exclusive Doggy Rooms come equipped with blankets, water bowls, and treats. Pets are allowed in all areas except the main restaurant, Bonnie’s. The front desk offers recommendations for nearby dog-friendly spots and picnic areas.

These locations ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for both you and your pet, making it easier to explore Ireland together.
