From November 6 to 10, the yearly Dublin Book Festival will bring together Ireland’s acclaimed and rising writers in the center of Dublin. Established in 2006, this occasion has become a foundation of the nation’s literary landscape, presenting a wide variety of books, poetry recitations, and cultural gatherings in a UNESCO-designated City of Literature.

The festival schedule offers more than 100 activities, including literary excursions, book debuts, and unique family-oriented events. The primary festival location is situated at The Printworks in Dublin Castle, with further activities at places such as the National Library and the National Botanic Gardens. Most events are complementary with advance registration, while entry fees for paid activities range from €5 to €12.

Alongside the Dublin Book Festival, this year’s global literary festival in May turned into another major occasion for book lovers. Hosted in a scenic garden in the ancient heart of Dublin, it brought together authors, intellectuals, and creators from across the globe. Attendees enjoyed a rich program featuring hundreds of events, including appearances by notable figures from the literary world. Highlights included guided tours to sites connected to literary legends and events honoring renowned national authors.

The festival also served as a platform for contemporary writers, with international guests sharing their new works and experiences. A particularly touching moment was a conversation between a renowned author and a young writer from another country, who shared her experiences of traveling during challenging times. The festival concluded with a performance by a prestigious literary award winner, who presented their latest novel, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

In celebrating these events, Dublin reaffirms its standing as a vibrant center of literary culture, offering a unique space for creative exchange and inspiration. Each festival enriches the city’s cultural landscape, fostering connections between audiences and writers from diverse backgrounds. These gatherings reflect a deep commitment to the arts, ensuring that literature remains a vital and enduring part of Dublin’s identity.
