Emirates and Avianca have launched a new reciprocal codeshare partnership, enhancing connectivity for travelers between Europe and Colombia. This agreement allows Emirates customers to access cities like Medellin and Cali, as well as the capital, Bogotá, via European gateways. Similarly, Avianca customers can travel to Dubai through select European points using Emirates services.

Starting from June 4, Emirates passengers flying from Madrid, Barcelona, or London Heathrow can book direct flights to Bogotá, Medellin, or Cali. Avianca will place its code on Emirates-operated routes between Barcelona, Madrid, or London Heathrow and Dubai, enabling seamless travel experiences for their customers.

The partnership promises streamlined connectivity and convenience for passengers, who can book itineraries on a single ticket and benefit from competitive fares. Emirates' inflight entertainment system and premium cabin services will be available on these codeshare flights, enhancing the travel experience.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the partnership's role in expanding travel options for customers. Claudio Vélez, Chief Revenue Officer of Avianca, emphasized the collaboration's potential to increase connectivity to Latin America and strengthen operations in Europe.

Tickets for the codeshare flights are available for booking on the Emirates and Avianca websites, as well as through their respective apps and travel agents. This new partnership is part of a broader strategy to enhance the travel experience and provide more destination options for passengers of both airlines.
