Dubai International Airport (DXB) is gearing up for its busiest season, with over 2.6 million Emirates passengers expected to depart in the coming month. Emirates is urging travelers to heed specific timings to ensure a smooth travel experience during this peak period. The heaviest traffic days are anticipated just before Eid Al Adha on June 15 and again on July 6, when many families are set to embark on their summer holidays.

Arrive Early to Avoid Delays

Travelers are advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their scheduled departure. Clearing immigration should be completed one and a half hours before the flight, and passengers should be at their boarding gates one hour prior to departure. These steps are crucial to avoid delays and ensure timely boarding.

Convenient Luggage Drop-Off Options

To facilitate a smoother check-in process, Emirates offers several convenient options. Passengers can drop off their luggage at the airport 24 hours before departure, or 12 hours prior if traveling to the US. Additionally, there is an option to check in and drop off luggage at the Emirates City Check-In & Travel Store in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), open daily from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Home Check-In Service

For those preferring to check in from the comfort of their own home, Emirates provides a Home Check-In service in Dubai and Sharjah. This service must be booked at least 24 hours before the flight and is complimentary for First Class passengers and Platinum Skywards members.

Efficient Airport Navigation

To navigate between different concourses at Terminal 3, passengers can use a complimentary train and shuttle bus service, with buses running every 20 minutes. First Class travelers have access to dedicated buggies, while all customers can use Dubai Airport Buggies free of charge, with priority for the elderly, families with children, and People of Determination.

Pre-Order Duty-Free Shopping

Emirates also offers a pre-order Duty-Free shopping service through EmiratesRED.com, allowing customers to have their purchases delivered directly to their seat on the flight. This service is available on most flights, with orders accepted from 21 days up to 40 hours before departure.

Special Assistance for People of Determination

For People of Determination, Emirates provides dedicated support, including a pre-planning guide for those with hidden disabilities, two hours of complimentary parking at the airport, and access to priority lanes for check-in, passport control, and security.

By adhering to these guidelines and making use of available services, Emirates passengers can look forward to a more efficient and stress-free travel experience during the busy summer season.
