Emirates has rolled out its pre-ordering meal service for Business Class passengers on all German routes. Now, travelers flying from Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich, and Düsseldorf can choose their hot meals ahead of time, from 14 days to 24 hours before takeoff. This move aims to enhance service quality and cater to passengers' culinary preferences.

Initially launched on the busiest routes, the pre-ordering service has now expanded to over 100 routes globally. So far, more than 135,000 pre-orders have been completed on over 30,000 flights, with more than 400 orders placed daily, highlighting its popularity among travelers.

Passengers can check out the menu on emirates.de or via the Emirates app, featuring dishes inspired by regional cuisine and made with local ingredients. Options include grilled veal chop with green pepper sauce, chicken with thyme and garlic, and fish tahta with fried grouper. The menu also boasts over 300 vegan dishes, such as roasted cauliflower with ancient grains and tofu and shiitake mushroom ragout with rice noodles.

Emirates also addresses special dietary needs by offering a variety of meal options for those with specific dietary requirements or allergies. The airline is committed to sustainability, using eco-friendly packaging and reducing food waste by better predicting meal demand.

Innovations and Convenience

The pre-ordering system integrates AI-supported data to optimize menu planning and aircraft loading. Artificial intelligence analyzes passenger preferences and order history to predict demand for specific dishes and minimize food waste. This helps ensure that there is always enough food on board for all passengers.

Cabin crew use a special app to view all pre-ordered meals for each flight. This app allows for quick and accurate meal service, reducing the likelihood of errors. Passengers can modify their orders through the Emirates app before departure, adding convenience and flexibility to the booking process.

Expanding the meal pre-ordering service is part of Emirates' strategy to boost passenger comfort and satisfaction throughout their journey.
