Emirates Launches Premium Economy on Osaka-Dubai Route
Emirates has introduced its Premium Economy product on flights to Osaka, with an exclusive tour of its upgraded four-class A380 aircraft at Osaka Kansai International Airport. The new service, launched on June 11, follows the introduction of Premium Economy on flights to Tokyo Narita in December 2023.
The event in Osaka included notable attendees such as Marwan Alnaqbi, Deputy Head of Mission at the UAE Embassy, and Hayato Shingu, Executive Officer Deputy Chief Commercial Officer of Kansai Airport Authority. Emirates' trade partners and local media were also present.
Guests were given a tour of the new Premium Economy cabin, as well as the upgraded First and Business Class cabins. This move underscores Emirates' commitment to expanding its offerings in the Japanese market.
"Since introducing Premium Economy on our Dubai-Narita route, we’ve received positive feedback from Japanese travelers. Expanding this service to Osaka reflects our commitment to our Japanese customers," said Satish Sethi, Emirates’ Country Manager for Japan.
The Premium Economy cabin is located at the front of the main deck of the Emirates A380, featuring 56 seats arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration. The cabin offers spacious seating and amenities such as in-seat charging points and a side cocktail table.
Emirates’ Premium Economy is now available on flights to fifteen other destinations, including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, London, Sydney, Auckland, Christchurch, Melbourne, Singapore, Mumbai, Bangalore, Sao Paulo, Tokyo Narita, and Dubai.
Passengers on the retrofitted A380 aircraft can also enjoy refreshed interiors featuring Emirates’ signature ghaf tree motif, with new designs and color palettes throughout the aircraft.
