Etihad Airways Enhances Ramadan Travel Experience
Etihad Airways is launching special services to improve travel during Ramadan. Starting March 1, 2024, passengers in all cabin classes will have access to specially designed Iftar meals and prayer facilities, both onboard and in select lounges. These efforts aim to support fasting travelers while maintaining premium service and cultural inclusivity, ensuring comfort throughout their journey.
The airline’s chefs have created a menu that blends Emirati flavors with modern touches. Business and First-Class travelers can enjoy Lamb Bukhari, Chicken Machbous Pinza, and Arabic mezze platters. Economy passengers will have Iftar meals, including braised lamb with vermicelli rice and classic desserts like Umm Ali and date cake. Takeaway meal bags will also be available, allowing fasting travelers to eat at the appropriate time.
For those transiting through major hubs, Etihad’s premium lounges in Abu Dhabi, London Heathrow, and other key airports will offer a Ramadan menu. Traditional drinks like laban, Vimto, date milk will be paired with the main causes of harira soup and lobster machboos ravioli. These choices provide a comprehensive dining experience for fasting passengers as well as for those seeking local cuisine.
Besides food, Etihad has also been providing services to make traveling in Ramadan easier for passengers. Dedicated Prayer areas, real-time electronic Qibla pointers and inflight Iftar/Suhoor timing announcements for the convenience of the passengers to perform their religious duties. All of this shows the airline is very responsible in catering diverse cultural ads and improving passenger comfort.
Etihad's Ramadan menu demonstrates that airlines can offer the right level of service while being culturally aware. With experiences that cater to the religious traditions, the airline increases passenger satisfaction and reinforces its hospitality reputation. These thoughtful accommodations for travelers make the journey of Ramadan travel, more convenient and more welcoming to everyone.
