Etihad Airways has unveiled its new Skypad app, designed to enhance the onboard experience for passengers. Developed by the airline's Digital Transformation and Innovation team, Skypad streamlines services such as meal ordering and onboard resource management. This move comes as the airline continues to expand its network and passenger base, reflecting its commitment to improving customer satisfaction through technological innovation.

The Skypad app allows cabin crew to anticipate passenger needs by providing real-time flight updates, enabling faster and more personalized service. Initially rolled out for meal services in premium cabins, the app helps reduce order processing steps and manages onboard resources efficiently, contributing to Etihad’s sustainability goals.

According to Turky Alhammadi, Director of Product Development & Hospitality at Etihad Airways, Skypad represents a blend of innovation and hospitality, with further updates expected to enhance various in-flight services. This new technology aligns with Etihad’s growing presence, as the airline has expanded its global network and served 13.6 million passengers in 2024, a significant increase from last year.
