Finnair has announced an exciting update to its Finnair Plus loyalty program, introducing enhanced benefits across its tier system to enrich the travel experience for its members. Starting with the Basic tier, the program now features five levels of membership, each offering a range of new benefits designed to reward frequent flyers.

When travelers join Finnair Plus, they begin their journey at the Basic level, marking the start of a one-year tracking period. This period allows members to accumulate tier points through flights with Finnair and its oneworld partners, as well as through special promotions like the Finnair Visa Credit card, available exclusively in Finland.

As members earn more tier points, they can ascend to higher tiers: Silver, Gold, Platinum, and the exclusive Platinum Lumo. Each tier upgrade provides access to additional privileges and services. For example, reaching the Silver tier, which requires 15,000 tier points, grants members priority services and an extended membership period that includes the remaining months of the current tracking period plus an additional year.

The program is designed to encourage frequent travel and loyalty by offering tangible rewards at each level. For instance, Silver tier members enjoy enhanced point earning capabilities, while Gold and Platinum members receive perks such as extra baggage allowances, lounge access, and even the opportunity to gift Gold status to a friend or family member. The highest tier, Platinum Lumo, offers the most exclusive benefits, including personalized services and additional bonus points earning potential.

Finnair has also introduced milestones within each tier, where members can earn specific rewards like lounge passes when they hit designated point thresholds. This addition aims to keep travelers engaged and motivated throughout their membership year.
