Dubai-based airline flydubai has announced the addition of two new destinations to its network in Iran, launching direct flights to Kish Island and Kerman. The service to Kish Island will commence on September 7, operating four times a week, while flights to Kerman will begin on September 9, with twice-weekly service.

These new routes reflect flydubai's commitment to opening up underserved markets. Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai, highlighted the airline's dedication to enhancing trade and tourism flows with these additions. The carrier aims to provide passengers with more opportunities to explore its extensive network through these new destinations.

This expansion comes amid a series of new route announcements from flydubai. Recently, the airline started daily services to Islamabad and Lahore in Pakistan and is set to launch flights to Basel, Switzerland, in August, followed by routes to Riga, Tallinn, and Vilnius in October.

Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce at flydubai, emphasized that the new routes will facilitate convenient travel between Iran and Dubai, enhancing connectivity within the region. Passengers on these routes can enjoy a personalized experience in Business Class or additional comfort in Economy Class on flydubai’s modern fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft.

flydubai operates flights to over 125 destinations, many of which are underserved markets. This expansion is part of the airline's strategy to provide more direct air links to Dubai.

Flights to Kish International Airport (KIH) will operate from Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flights to Kerman International Airport (KER) will run on Mondays and Thursdays. Emirates will codeshare on these routes, offering passengers more options to connect through Dubai’s international hub.

Return Business Class fares from DXB to KIH and KER start from AED 6,620, while Economy Class fares start from AED 1,400. Flight bookings are available on flydubai's website, app, travel shops, or through travel partners. For a complete timetable, visit the flydubai website.
