Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines started the summer cruise season from Rosyth port in Scotland on the Balmoral liner. The ship set sail on a seven-night Norwegian Fjords cruise.

Throughout the summer, from June to August, Balmoral will visit the Baltic Sea, the Scottish Isles, Iceland, and the Portuguese islands. Clare Ward, Director of Product and Customer Service at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, announced the company's return to Rosyth for the 2024 summer season.

Rob Mason, Head of Cruise at Capital Cruising, noted that this year’s cruise season on the River Forth will be the busiest yet. He added that cruises from Rosyth provide travelers with the opportunity to travel to Europe and other destinations.

Among the planned cruises is the 11-night "Life and Landscapes of Iceland" itinerary, departing from Rosyth on July 22, 2024. On August 2, 2024, Balmoral will embark on the five-night "Summertime Norwegian Fjords in Five Nights" cruise. The 15-night "Portugal’s Islands in Search of the Meteor Shower" cruise will begin on August 7, 2024.

Fred. Olsen offers a variety of routes from Rosyth this summer. The company offers travelers the opportunity to visit the Baltic Sea, the Scottish Isles, Iceland, and the Portuguese islands. With diverse routes and the convenient location of Rosyth port, cruises are becoming accessible to a wide range of travelers. The 2024 summer season is expected to be one of the busiest for the company on the River Forth.
