A small Greek island in the Cyclades offers a car-free holiday experience, making it one of the best destinations for tourists who prefer to explore on foot. This beautiful island provides breathtaking beaches and a serene atmosphere.

Koufonisia, comprising three small islands—Ano Koufonisi, Kato Koufonisi, and Keros—is gaining popularity among travelers. Despite its growing reputation, Ano Koufonisi remains relatively uncrowded and can be explored entirely on foot in just four hours.

According to Discover Greece, the Koufonisia islands are "tiny gems in the Cyclades" featuring exotic beaches, friendly locals, and great food. Tourists can easily walk from one gorgeous beach to another on Ano Koufonisi, making it a perfect destination for those who enjoy leisurely strolls.

Hydra, another Greek island, is a favorite among celebrities like Leonard Cohen, Sophia Loren, and Mick Jagger. Known for its ban on cars, Hydra maintains its peaceful retreat status despite its popularity. Only rubbish trucks are allowed on the island, ensuring that its picturesque streets remain ideal for walking. For those seeking a bit of adventure, hiking to the top of Mount Eros offers a rewarding challenge.

Antiparos, close to the better-known Paros, is another delightful island that is easy to explore on foot. Although less famous, Antiparos boasts spectacular beaches and secluded coves within its 35 square kilometers. It's just a short ferry ride away from Paros, providing tourists with the option to experience a more vibrant island atmosphere nearby.

These islands showcase the best of Greek island life without the need for a car, offering tourists the chance to fully immerse themselves in their natural beauty and tranquil settings.
