The Walt Disney Company presents the first Frozen territory of its kind in an amusement park in Hong Kong. The new zone was opened in November 2023.

On November 20, enthusiastic fans welcomed the World of Frozen by seeing the Erendell Ice Palace. The whole territory resembles places from the favorite movie, newsbytesapp writes.

Immerse yourself in the magical world of entertainment with two exciting attractions presented as part of the new project. For the first time, guests can enjoy a musical boat ride through a winter wonderland, shrouded in the atmosphere of magic and their favorite music.

And for adrenaline lovers, there is a roller coaster in the style of a sleigh that provides an exciting experience.

You can also visit the Scandinavian-style restaurant and see the 19th century architecture.

At dusk, Frozen World turns into the fairy-tale realm of Elsa's "Ice Magic", illuminating the Ice Palace, Erendelle Castle and the Fountain of Friendship with icy blue light, creating a unique evening landscape.

What is known about Disney's investments in parks and resorts

The Walt Disney Company intends to invest $60 billion in its theme parks over the next 10 years, implementing an ambitious plan to support growth in this area. At the same time, the company faces challenges in the film, TV, and streaming industries.

Frozen themed areas will also be expanded in Tokyo and Paris, and Shanghai Disneyland will be adding a new attraction, Zootopia.

Hong Kong Disneyland plans

Hong Kong Disneyland continues to struggle with financial difficulties, posting losses for the eighth consecutive year, including a HK$2.1 billion deficit last year. The park has been facing challenges since the coronavirus pandemic.

Disney has responded to these difficulties by investing HK$10.9 billion in park expansions, including the creation of a Marvel attraction alongside Frozen. The government, which owns a 52% stake in Hong Kong Disneyland, hopes to attract more tourists in this way.
