The municipality of the Italian province of Nuoro in Sardinia offers to rent houses for €1 per month to professionals who can work remotely. In return, the local community expects to improve the city's image and make the skills of these professionals available to those living in the area.

This offer will be valid until 2024, and both Italians from different parts of the country and foreign nationals from all over the world will be able to participate in the program. This was reported by idealista.

It is currently known that the Sardinia municipality plans to attract journalists, digital entrepreneurs, athletes, photographers, writers, scientists, chefs, hotel owners, musicians, and many other professionals under the Ollolai Work program. All of them are expected to share their knowledge with the local community to develop the area.

It is noted that the municipality of Ollolai will cover the rent, while all other expenses will be borne by the guests. Thus, those wishing to apply for accommodation in the community will have to cover their own food, utilities, travel, and other expenses.

It is currently known that the maximum period of stay under the Work by Ollolai program is one month. However, local authorities have stated that they will consider individual requests for longer stays. To learn more and submit your application, you need to fill out an online form at workfromollolai.com.
