TikToker Fatpuppyyent shared a trick that allows airplane passengers to create a smartphone holder using a paper bag distributed to passengers for motion sickness during the flight. This life hack transforms a regular paper bag into a modern in-flight entertainment system.

With its simple design, passengers on flights without a built-in TV on the seat in front of them—common in economy class on short-haul flights—can relax, unwind, and enjoy the screen without having to hold their phone in their hand. Fatpuppyyent takes a paper bag from the seat pocket in front, placing it inside his phone case, and then inserting his cell phone. The bag goes from the top to the bottom of the case, tightly pressed against the back wall, as reported by the Mirror website.

Then the clever traveler places the phone back into the case so that the paper bag intended for motion sickness is behind it. The portion of the bag protruding from the top is tucked into the locking mechanism of the tray table in front, securing the phone at the desired level. This method allows you to watch a show or movie without holding your phone in your hands and truly relax.

If you appreciate this idea but prefer not to use a bag for this purpose, you can opt to purchase a lightweight phone holder that attaches to surfaces like a seat.
