In Lyon, environmental activists splashed soup on Claude Monet's painting "Spring"
Activists from the organization "Riposte Alimentaire" poured soup on the famous painting "Spring" by Claude Monet, which is exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts in Lyon.
They posted the photos and video on the social network X. "This spring will be the only one we have left if we don't react. What will our future artists paint? What will we dream about if there is no more spring?" the activists chanted in front of the canvas.
Riposte Alimentaire advocates for civil resistance to build a just and sustainable society, as well as for the right to healthy and adequate food.
It was this group that, two weeks ago, poured soup on the jewel of the Louvre exhibition in Paris - the world-famous painting "Mona Lisa" ("Gioconda") by Leonardo Da Vinci.
