Iran has canceled visas for citizens of 28 countries: who is affected
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the unilateral abolition of visas for a number of countries. This became known on the last day of January 2024.
According to Ali-Reza Bigdeli, Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Iranian Emigrant Affairs, starting February 4, a number of tourists will be able to come to Iran without a visa. He made his statement based on the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, en.irna.ir reports.
It is clarified that Indian citizens are required to obtain a visa if they travel to Iran by land.
Countries that no longer require a visa to Iran
Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tunisia, Tanzania, Mauritania, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Seychelles, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Cuba, Vietnam, Cambodia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus, and India (by air).
