JetBlue and Etihad Airways Enhance Travel with New Loyalty Partnership
JetBlue, based in New York, and Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, announced a new phase in their partnership on May 7, 2024, during the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai. This development marks an enhancement of their longstanding codeshare agreement, now including extended loyalty benefits.
Starting this May, members of JetBlue's TrueBlue and Etihad's Etihad Guest programs will have the ability to earn and redeem points across both airlines' expansive networks. This integration offers passengers increased flexibility and value, making global travel more rewarding.
Mark Potter, Managing Director at Etihad Guest, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting it as a testament to the decade-long relationship between the two airlines. He emphasized the benefits for loyalty members, noting Etihad's ongoing commitment to the U.S. market, which includes new direct flights from Abu Dhabi to Boston and expanded service to New York.
The announcement also highlighted last year’s improvements to the TrueBlue program by JetBlue, which introduced innovative features such as tiles to track status and expanded benefits, tailoring rewards to individual travel preferences.
This partnership underscores both airlines' dedication to enhancing customer loyalty through innovative offerings and expanded access to global destinations, reinforcing their positions in the competitive aviation market. The collaboration not only benefits frequent flyers but also strengthens the airlines' international connectivity and service excellence.
