JetBlue Launches Second Daily Paris Flight from JFK International Airport
JetBlue has launched its second daily flight between New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) in anticipation of increased travel demand due to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The Olympics will be held from July 26th to August 11th, 2024, and this new service aims to accommodate the expected surge in travelers.
Expanded Service Details
The airline now operates two daily flights between JFK and CDG, utilizing its Airbus A321LR aircraft. These planes feature 114 economy class seats and 24 Mint Suites, offering a comfortable and premium experience for passengers.
JetBlue initially began this route in June 2023, directly competing with Air France (6 daily flights), American Airlines (1 daily flight), Delta Air Lines (3 daily flights), and Norse Atlantic Airways (1 daily flight). In 2022, more than 1.4 million passengers traveled between JFK and CDG, making it the second-busiest international route from JFK, surpassed only by the JFK to London Heathrow route, which saw over 2.3 million passengers.
Growing Competition and Demand
In addition to its New York-Paris route, JetBlue launched a second route to Paris from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) earlier this year. This route competes with Air France and Delta Air Lines. Dave Clark, JetBlue's Head of Revenue and Planning, highlighted the strong response to the New York-Paris service and emphasized the airline's commitment to providing affordable fares and a high-quality onboard experience.
In 2022, Paris CDG was the second-busiest international route from Boston, with over 425,000 passengers, ranking behind London Heathrow and ahead of Dublin.
Expanding Transatlantic Network
JetBlue’s transatlantic offerings continue to grow, with services including:
- New York (JFK) to London Heathrow (LHR): 2 daily flights
- New York (JFK) to London Gatwick (LGW): 1 daily flight (seasonal)
- New York (JFK) to Amsterdam (AMS): 1 daily flight

Most of these transatlantic flights are operated by Airbus A321LR aircraft, except for some London routes and seasonal services operated by Airbus A321neos. The A321neos are configured with 144 economy class seats and 16 Mint Suites.
JetBlue's expanding network and enhanced services underscore its commitment to providing competitive and high-quality travel options across the Atlantic.
