On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, Jetstar presented a new uniform for its employees, which caused a mixed reaction online. Some called it "luxurious," while others called it "resembling bus seats."

The low-cost Australian carrier is moving away from bright orange jackets, black skirts, and pants. The new color palette, inspired by the sunset seen from an airplane window, includes soft orange and blue, as reported by Newshub.

The staff will have a wider selection of clothes: blazers, shirt dresses, skirts, pants, polos, and coats.

Australian designer Genevieve Smart, who designed the uniforms, explains that the evolution from black to a dynamic blue and orange palette reflects Jetstar's transformation over 20 years.

The appearance of the uniforms now resembles items typically taken by travelers on vacation.

Jetstar plans to recycle the old uniforms, turning the textiles into raw materials for new products. This will reduce the carrier's negative impact on the environment.

The company announced the changes in the media and social media, where users had differing opinions on the new design.

On the airline's Instagram, commenters described the updated design as "refreshing," "much better," and "very stylish." However, some compared the pattern to "bus seats."

As previously reported by TravelWise, Thai Airways International has introduced a new uniform for flight attendants in pink colors.
