Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants Opens Its First Boutique Hotel in Budapest
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, has announced the opening of its first luxury boutique hotel in Budapest. Kimpton BEM Budapest is located on the banks of the Danube River in the historic Buda district, near landmarks such as Fisherman's Bastion, Matthias Church, and Chain Bridge.
The hotel is housed in a restored 19th-century mansion and offers 127 rooms, including 11 suites. The hotel's design was created by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders, who combined Hungarian folklore with modern elements.
Guests at the hotel can enjoy three restaurants, including AGOS, a rooftop bar, and an all-day lobby bar and restaurant. AGOS specializes in Mediterranean cuisine with a Hungarian twist. The hotel also features a wellness area with a 24/7 fitness center, hot tub, and steam room.
The hotel offers amenities for guests with pets. Kimpton BEM Budapest provides various event spaces, including a conference hall for up to 120 people.
