LATAM and Delta Air Lines have been announced as the official carriers for the upcoming Copa América 2024, a prestigious international soccer tournament. The event, set to take place across the United States from June 20 to July 14, is expected to draw significant crowds, leading both airlines to prepare for increased demand.

As official airlines, LATAM and Delta will offer enhanced connectivity options to support athletes and spectators traveling to the various tournament venues. LATAM's Corporate Communications Manager, Constanza Pizarro, emphasized the importance of robust air connectivity for the success of the event, highlighting the synergy between LATAM and Delta’s joint venture in providing seamless travel between South and North America.

LATAM has also announced exclusive promotions at selected tournament destinations. Loyal customers will have the opportunity to participate in ticket raffles for a chance to attend the matches. Additionally, LATAM will enhance its lounge facilities for soccer fans, offering giant screens to watch the tournament, along with comfortable spaces, cocktails, food, and WiFi.

The Delta-LATAM partnership, launched in 2022, has significantly improved travel options between South America and North America. The joint venture, approved by the United States Department of Transportation in September 2022 and launched in November of the same year, covers over 300 destinations. This partnership has introduced new routes, such as Bogota-Orlando, Los Angeles-Sao Paulo, New York JFK-Rio de Janeiro, Atlanta-Cartagena, Lima-Atlanta, Santiago-Orlando (seasonal), and Santiago-Atlanta (seasonal).

Passengers from both airlines benefit from enhanced connectivity and the ability to earn and redeem miles across both carriers, making travel more convenient and rewarding. Delta passengers now have easier access to cities like Cusco, Peru, and Montevideo, Uruguay, through LATAM’s hubs, while LATAM travelers can reach over 200 US cities via Delta’s hubs.

This collaboration between LATAM and Delta aims to ensure a seamless travel experience for Copa América attendees, contributing to the success of the tournament and demonstrating the strength of their joint venture.
