Liverpool Gears Up for Biggest Pride Celebration Yet

Liverpool is set to host its annual Pride march on Saturday, July 27th, organized by the Liverpool City Region’s LGBT+ charity, LCR Pride Foundation. This event is anticipated to be the largest yet.

The march will begin at St. George’s Hall Plateau, with participants gathering at 10:30 AM. The procession will travel through the city center, the Pride Quarter, and culminate at the iconic Waterfront. This route highlights Liverpool's support and celebration of its vibrant LGBT+ community.

Tourists can get to the March with Pride itself in this way:

Car: the nearest parking is St John’s Shopping Centre

Bus: the closest stations are Liverpool ONE and Queen Square

Train: the nearest stations are Liverpool Lime Street or Central

Pride Classical

On Friday, 26 July, a world-class 32-piece orchestra will perform at Liverpool's iconic waterfront to kick off the Pride in Liverpool weekend. The event, called Pride Classical, will feature an ensemble of renowned LGBT+ artists and allies. Hosted by drag legend Danny Beard, the event promises an unforgettable evening with headliner Jake Shears, alongside West End stars Alison Jiear and Ashford Campbell, performing popular Pride and LGBT+ anthems from the last 50 years.

Train: metro services at James Street are four minutes away

Ferry: travel from the Wirral and arrive straight on site

Main Stage at Pier Head

The festivities continue on Saturday, 27 July, with the Pride in Liverpool festival at the city's Pier Head. After last year’s record turnout, this year’s event promises to be even bigger and remains free to attend. Katrina, formerly of Katrina and the Waves, will headline the event, ensuring the crowd enjoys hits like "Walking on Sunshine" and "Going Down to Liverpool."
