New opportunities for tourism: Halo Space intends to transport tourists into space
The Spanish company Halo Space, known for its luxurious and environmentally friendly flights into the stratosphere without spacesuits, plans to conduct 400 flights annually from launch sites in southern Spain, the United States, Australia, and Saudi Arabia. With this initiative, the company aims to attract approximately 3,000 space tourists each year.
The inaugural flight with paying passengers is scheduled for 2026, with ticket prices set at 150,000 euros, as reported by SUR in English.
It's been disclosed that the company has successfully completed 5 test flights already, with the next one slated for June of this year in Saudi Arabia. Halo Space harbors an ambitious goal of accommodating up to 10,000 tourists annually through simultaneous flights from various locations over the next decade.
Carlos Mir, CEO of Halo Space, regards this project as innovative and unparalleled globally. He emphasized that while the trip's cost is high, it remains affordable compared to offerings from other space travel companies.
Tickets for the inaugural flights can be purchased by interested individuals towards the end of this year or early next year.
