Oceania Cruises, a leading cruise company, marked an important milestone in the construction of its new ship Allura at the Fincantieri shipyard in Sestri Ponente, Italy. The 1,200-passenger vessel was launched and moved to the fitting-out berth.

Allura will be the eighth ship in the Oceania Cruises fleet and the second in the Allura class, with her debut scheduled for July 18, 2025, in Trieste, Italy. After a summer season in the Mediterranean with stops in Rijeka, Ravenna, Dubrovnik, and Kotor, Allura will head to North America for cruises in Canada and New England, followed by the Caribbean, with Miami as her homeport.

Allura's features include a new crêperie, a library with panoramic windows, and a high level of service with one chef for every ten guests and 50% of the crew dedicated to culinary services. Onboard, there will be five specialty restaurants, including the new Ember and Aquamar Kitchen, available at no extra cost.

Oceania Cruises President Frank A. Del Rio highlighted the significance of this event for the company and the Fincantieri shipyard. "Our hearts and thoughts are with the Fincantieri team mourning the loss of General Graziano," he said. "The launch is an important step towards Allura joining our fleet. We eagerly await the start of the ship's interior outfitting."
