PLAY Airlines has confirmed a new route connecting Antalya, Turkey, with Reykjavik, Iceland. The flights will commence on April fifteenth, two thousand twenty-five, running once a week until early June, and will then resume in September through November. This route will offer Turkish travelers a direct connection to Iceland, removing the need for connecting flights through other European cities.

The Icelandic low-cost airline is well-known for its modern fleet and commitment to affordable travel. With planes that are typically just a few years old, PLAY’s Airbus A320/321neo jets offer a dependable and pleasant journey. This new Antalya-Reykjavik route highlights the airline’s continued expansion across Europe, increasing accessibility for travelers while maintaining its strong on-time performance record.

For those arriving in Iceland, the country’s iconic natural landmarks await. Travelers can explore the stunning Golden Circle, a route that includes breathtaking sights such as Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall, and the erupting geysers of Haukadalur. Iceland is also famous for its geothermal spas, including the world-renowned Blue Lagoon, where visitors can soak in mineral-rich waters surrounded by volcanic landscapes.

In addition to these popular attractions, Iceland offers the opportunity to experience the northern lights, an awe-inspiring natural phenomenon best seen in the colder months. Adventure seekers can also participate in glacier hikes, whale-watching tours, or explore the vibrant city life of Reykjavik, with its rich Viking history and thriving cultural scene.

The introduction of this new direct route is likely to appeal to Turkish travelers looking for a hassle-free journey to Iceland. By avoiding multiple layovers, they can now reach this unique destination more easily and begin their exploration of Iceland’s extraordinary beauty shortly after arrival.

Ultimately, this new route from PLAY Airlines broadens travel opportunities for tourists in both Turkey and Iceland. It not only opens the door for more convenient tourism but also deepens cultural exchanges between the two countries, creating exciting possibilities for future travel.
