Portuguese hotel chain Vila Galé to open a luxury resort in Cuba
Cuba is one of the most exotic tourist destinations that attracts more than two million travelers every year. This is not surprising, as the island is known for its beautiful beaches and excellent climate.
As a result, more and more luxury hotels are appearing in Cuba, offering tourists a full range of services. As it has recently become known, the Portuguese hotel chain Vila Galé will manage a new luxury resort jointly with the military enterprise Gaviota, according to the material of Cubanet.
The grand opening of the facility is scheduled for October. The new hotel complex is located in the famous Cayo Paredon area.
It is noted that the new beach hotel Vila Galé Cayo Paredón was built from scratch and includes 638 rooms, adult and children's pools, a kids' club, a teenage attraction Espacio Galera, event rooms, a marine center, a tennis court and a multisport court. In addition, the new hotel will create approximately 400 new jobs.
Six restaurants will be at the service of discerning tourists. But that's not all. The gastronomic assortment will be complemented by five bars: poolside, beach and themed.
"For years we have been studying traveling to Cuba, and now we have finally managed to achieve this goal. We will have a great hotel in a great location that meets all the standards. It's a bold choice, but we are very excited about it because Cuba is a tourist destination of extraordinary quality," said Vila Galé President Jorge Rebelo de Almeida.
At the same time, Vila Galé plans to manage two hotels on the island: one will be located in Havana and the other in the island's tourist center. Therefore, in the near future, we can expect a new high-profile presentation from the Portuguese group Vila Galé.
We would like to add that the Portuguese hotel group Vila Galé operates 31 properties in Portugal and 10 other properties in Brazil. Moreover, Vila Galé has already taken the leading position as the largest resort operator in Brazil.
