At ITB Berlin 2024, Qatar Airways revealed an innovative leap in airline customer service with the launch of Sama 2.0, the world's first AI-powered virtual digital human cabin crew. This groundbreaking development marks Qatar Airways as the pioneer in utilizing Artificial Intelligence to enrich passenger experiences with customized travel solutions.

Sama, which translates to 'sky' in Arabic, has become the highlight of Qatar Airways' presence at ITB Berlin, the premier global travel and tourism trade event. Demonstrating an unparalleled integration of conversational AI, Sama is designed to evolve through passenger interactions, ensuring a continuously improving service.

Sama 2.0 is equipped to handle a wide array of inquiries in real-time, covering topics from Qatar Airways' frequently asked questions to destination advice and support tips. Accessible via QVerse, Qatar Airways’ digital platform, and the airline's mobile app, Sama is a testament to the airline's investment in digital innovation.

The development of Sama was made possible through a partnership with UneeQ, a front-runner in AI digital human technology.
