Passengers traveling by train between Peterborough and London will face inconveniences for two working days, February 19 and 20, due to engineering works, as reported by Network Rail.

Usually, interventions requiring line closures are carried out on weekends and holidays, when passenger traffic is much lower. However, as part of the "billion-dollar project," engineers will need extra time. This was reported by the BBC.

Network Rail has decided to carry out work on weekdays to modernize the signaling in this area. Work on the modernization and digitization of signaling between London and Peterborough has already been carried out on February 10-11.

But on February 17-20, passengers may face problems with trains between Peterborough and Bedford.

LNER has prepared additional carriages between Peterborough and Bedford, where customers will be able to change trains to London St. Pancras station, from February 17-20.

The railroad is committed to creating a more reliable, efficient, and environmentally friendly railroad.

The spokesperson added: "Customers are advised to plan their journeys in advance and check information before traveling as affected journeys will take longer and may involve replacing trains with buses."
