Ryanair is going to add new flights this summer
Ryanair plans to launch a new route from Belfast to Malta this summer. This decision was made in view of the future popularity of this island destination as part of a $700 million investment.
In addition, the airline has added summer routes to Rome and Norwich to its schedule. To mark the occasion, Ryanair has launched a three-day ticket sale with prices starting at €24.99, the Belfast Telegraph reports.
Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary said: "These three new routes reflect Ryanair's commitment to delivering the best travel experience to Malta at the lowest prices. Our $700 million investment in the island and 22% traffic growth underscore Ryanair's commitment to growing tourism and connectivity in Malta."
It is noted that the company has previously announced 3 new winter routes to Lanzarote in Spain, Porto in Portugal, and Turin in Italy, in addition to its 16 routes across Europe.
