Service 1 Now Serving North Station: Enhanced Travel Connections Starting 16th June
Starting Sunday, June 16th, travelers to and from Blackpool will benefit from the launch of a full tram extension service, providing a seamless link between the train station and the city's prominent promenade hotels and attractions. This new service marks a significant improvement for tourists and locals alike, enhancing connectivity and convenience in the area.
In addition to the tram service, minor adjustments will be made to some bus routes to further improve the travel experience. Notably, Service 1 will now extend its route to include North Station, catering to commuters and visitors traveling to Fleetwood and Cleveleys. The bus will follow its usual route until it turns onto Pleasant Street, continues via Dickson Road and Springfield Road, and arrives at Blackpool North Train Station. From there, passengers can easily continue their journey to popular destinations.
On the return trip, Service 1 will take Springfield Road, Dickson Road, and Talbot Road to North Pier before resuming its route toward Fleetwood. These changes ensure that visitors have a reliable and efficient mode of transport connecting key locations in Blackpool.
Service 1a will maintain its current route along the Promenade, without serving North Station. Meanwhile, Service 3a will undergo a slight timetable adjustment, with only a two-minute change between Town and Cleveleys Park, ensuring minimal disruption to regular journeys.
Additionally, there are minor bus stop changes in Blackpool Town Centre. Service 18 will now use the bottom stop on Clifton Street, while services X2 and 12 will stop outside the library on Queen Street.
These updates are designed to enhance the overall travel experience in Blackpool, making it easier for visitors to explore the city's attractions and for locals to commute efficiently. The improvements in the public transportation system reflect a commitment to providing better services for all passengers.
