In the Bashkale district of Van, the snow has reached 10 centimeters thick. Schoolchildren could barely get to their schools, while business owners were clearing snow in front of their shops, TRT Haber reports.
Residents of Mush also came out to clear the snow on the streets and near their workplaces.
The Secretary General of the Special Provincial Administration, Sheikhmus Yentur, said that the snow had caused problems for residents of highland areas and noted that crews were working to open rural roads.
Umit Kurtkan, director of the road transport service of the Bitlis Special Provincial Administration, said that snow removal crews there also continue to work on opening rural roads.
