The historic Inn at Stonecliffe on Mackinac Island, Michigan, has reopened after a $40 million renovation funded by the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation. Originally built in 1904, the inn has preserved key architectural elements like stained-glass windows, hardwood floors, and fireplaces. At the same time, modern amenities have been added, making it appealing for today's travelers.

The updated accommodations now feature air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and new dining options to meet high hospitality standards. Guests can choose from rooms in the main mansion, the Summer House, or private cottages. Each option is designed for different group sizes and preferences, providing a wide selection for visitors.

Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island similarly combines historical character with modern amenities. Built in the 1950s, it offers stunning views of Lake Huron and retains architectural details that add unique charm. Recent renovations have introduced air conditioning, a spa, and upgraded dining facilities, ensuring a comfortable stay for guests.

Another notable island hotel, Grand Hotel, founded in 1887, is celebrated for its elegance and rich history. The hotel retains its traditional interiors and offers various guest activities, including themed evenings and outdoor movie screenings. With preserved architecture and modern conveniences like a pool and fitness center, the Grand Hotel remains popular among history and luxury enthusiasts.

Stonecliffe also offers a variety of dining experiences: The Straits provides fine dining featuring local ingredients, while The Backyard specializes in wood-fired pizza. These restaurants allow guests to explore local flavors and enjoy a unique culinary experience. They also highlight the inn’s commitment to quality and support for local producers.
