Jet2 has issued an urgent warning to anyone planning to travel to Spain this year.
People are urged to check the website at least 12 hours before their flight to get the latest information in case of any cancellation or delay. This comes after news of a ground handling strike at Alicante airport, the Liverpool Echo reports.
The strike is backed by security and could mean possible congestion and delays. Jet2 reported on its website: "We wanted to let you know that a ground handling strike will take place on the dates below.
"It will be one hour in the morning from 8:45 am to 9:45 am local time and one hour in the evening from 18:00 to 19:00. :00 from September 2023 to January 2024," the message says.
